Modelling of Overcurrent of Protection Using PSCAD Software
Abstract
This paper was studied about the modelling of 132/33/11kV overcurrent protection by using PSCAD software. The objectives of this project were to protect network transmission line from damage and electrical shock to human. This study for three cases with standard inverse of characteristics curve on IEC 60255 and IEEE C37.112 to analyze and observe the relay operating time. The parameters of Plug Setting (PS) and Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) was set in each of relays. The results of simulation and calculation slightly matched and proven.
